What Is The Purpose of The Atlassian Marketplace Partner Program

For each company, reputation is the priority, and when you are dealing with a great number of partners or subcontractors, it’s your business to ensure all of them are both reliable and useful.
This will help to offer products of the highest possible quality to your customers along with loyalty and safety.

Our partner Atlassian is an Australian-American software company that develops a suite of application products in the fields of software development, IT service management, and project management teams for tracking, communication, management, collaboration, and development solutions. Many of them, including Jira and Confluence, have a lot of add-ons developed by third-party companies and available on their inhouse Marketplace. As Atlassian serves over 200,000 customers it is highly important to monitor the usefulness of the solutions provided by its plenty of outside developers.

That’s why it decided to launch a program allowing it to monitor the success of its partners and motivate them to develop better products.

In 2014, the Atlassian Verified/Top Vendor Program was launched to showcase high-traction partners. But when the developers outnumbered 1000, and there were more than 275 third-party cloud apps available on the platform, the company introduced its Marketplace Partner Program to incentivize app development and promote enhanced security practices. In such a way Atlassian could better serve its customers and ensure they get the best software user experience.

The program consists of three partner levels: Platinum, Gold, and Silver. The levels were introduced to highlight each partner's individual investment in the Atlassian platform and alignment with the company’s global strategy.
These Platinum, Gold, and Silver Marketplace Partners are recognized for their commitment in the following fields:

  • Cloud and Data Center: Companies eligible for these statuses should invest in the Cloud and have Data Center Approved versions of their server apps.
  • Security: The candidates should upgrade their security and participate in Atlassian’s Marketplace Security Programs.

Our Path to Gold Marketplace Partner Status

Our story traces the growth of a small, outsourced software development business launched in 2003 in Ukraine into one of the most reliable international companies in the market. Three years ago, we presented our first application available on Atlassian Marketplace. And in just three years we have grown into the company’s Gold Partner. It should be noted that the last year was the most prolific for Alpha Serve.

We received a Silver Partner status from Atlassian in the summer and upgraded it to a Gold one half a year later. We launched 6 new apps on the Atlassian Marketplace in 2021 and 5 of our apps received Cloud Fortified status. Our BI Connectors reached 2500+ active installs.

The quality of our products is of great importance to us. We always think first about our customers and want them to be sure they receive the best solutions and make a good choice when deciding to use our apps.

Our commitment has been rewarded by several titles and exclusive partnerships. For example, we have a Cloud Fortified status from Atlassian and participate in the company’s Marketplace Security Program. We have also joined Atlassian’s initiative and made our apps free for small teams of up to 10 users, as we want our products to be available for all companies, big and small.

Alpha Serve is known for its enterprise-grade apps for Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools as well as for Shopify stores. They can boast proven scalability, performance, and high-level data security. Our special focus is BI Connectors and product integrations. We have connected Confluence with Canva, Microsoft Forms, Tableau, BigQuery, etc. We have also developed a bunch of useful integrations for Jira. The top 10 includes Exalate Jira Issue Sync & more, Power BI Connector for Jira, Slack Integration+ for Jira, Smart Git Integration For Jira, Canva For Jira, and Amazon Chime For Jira.
